The ocean is filled with dive sites, but many of them cannot be reached from shore. This programme gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely dive from a boat, allowing you to get the most from your underwater opportunities.

Whilst diving from a boat may seem straightforward, there’s many different types of boats, various systems, planning principles, safety protocols, equipment provisions and etiquette that it is important to be aware of. Understanding this before your trip will improve your safety, comfort level and make the whole experience much more enjoyable.

This is a great course to complete with us during a holiday, as you will understand the knowledge aspects beforehand and be able to gain practical experience, tips and tricks throughout. We can also complete the course in the UK and we would encourage you to gain experience diving from different types of boat, wherever possible.

You will earn the SSI Boat Specialty certification after completing this programme, which can be counted towards SSI recognition ratings, such as Specialty Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver and Master Diver.
