Scuba 2000 attend and exhibit at the UK’s biggest and best dive event!

We were thrilled to be part of  Go Diving Show 2023 – the UK’s biggest and best dive event, which attracted around 9,000 over the two days. The fourth Go Diving Show was held at NAEC in Stoneleigh, near Coventry and saw a 20% increase on the previous year.

The show as split across two halls; the main exhibition hall and an extended area hosting the main stage and British Isles Experience – which is where we had our very own stand, along with other fellow dive businesses, such as Atlantic Scuba and Lundy Diving.

Our stand become very busy, especially during the Saturday morning and around Sunday midday. It was a real pleasure meeting so many enthusiastic and passionate divers throughout the weekend.

A headline celebrity appearance by Ross Kemp was certainly a crowd puller, along with other amazing speakers including Hollywood stunt woman, Liz Parkinson, Shark Lady Cristina Zenato and Wild Adventurer Patrick Widmann. Some of the crew were also lucky enough to have their photo taken with Ross Kemp as he walked around the event.

It was also fantastic to see the big name diving brands at the show too, including Mares, Scubapro, Fourth Element and Northern Diver.

There was also a whole host of other attractions, including a vast array of dive travel inspiration, try dive experience, virtual reality, inspiration stages, mobile caving and even a ‘shark’ rodeo!

A highlight for us was being presented with a special 25-year SSI service award, in recognition of us being an SSI dive centre in the UK since 1997.

In conclusion, it was a highly successful and enjoyable event for us and to pretty much everyone we spoke to throughout the weekend. It’s reassuring to see there’s still considerable interest in the sport of scuba diving, despite the economic outlook and long-lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry appears to be making steady progression.  We are already excited about next year’s show and hope to meet many more awesome people there!
